Dr. James R. Andrews is internationally known and recognized throughout the world for his research contributions in knee, shoulder and elbow injuries, and his skill as an orthopaedic surgeon. He is one of the founding members of the Andrews Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center in Birmingham, Alabama.

Dr. Andrews is also one of the founders of American Sports Medicine Institute (ASMI) a non-profit institute dedicated to injury prevention, education and research for sports related problems. Dr. Andrews serves as Chairman and Medical Director of ASMI and the foundation continues to be one of the world's leaders in this field. Dr. Andrews is also a founding partner and Medical Director of the Andrews Institute located in Gulf Breeze, Florida.

Dr. Andrews has been the mentor for more than 250 orthopaedic/sports medicine fellows and more than 45 primary care sports medicine fellows who have trained under him through the American Sports Medicine Institute Sports Medicine Fellowship Program. Involved in education and research in sports medicine and orthopaedic surgery, he has made major presentations on every continent, and has authored numerous scientific articles and books.

Dr. Andrews is a member of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is Clinical Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Alabama Birmingham Medical School, the University of Virginia School of Medicine, the University of Kentucky Medical Center, and the University of South Carolina Medical School. Dr. Andrews serves as Medical Director/team physician and/or orthopedic consultant to numerous professional and college sports teams throughout the US, including the Tampa Bay Rays (MLB), Washington Redskins (NFL), Auburn University and the University of Alabama. Dr. Andrews has been inducted into the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame, Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame, the LSU Alumni Hall of Distinction and the LSU College of Basic Science Hall of Distinction. He has served in various leadership roles in numerous medical societies including President Elect of the American Orthopaedic Society of Sports Medicine.

Dr. ElAttrache is the head team physician for the Los Angeles Dodgers (MLB) and orthopedic consultant for numerous professional and collegiate sports teams including the former LA Rams (NFL) and the society of NFL Team Physicians.  He was selected for membership in American Orthopaedic Association, the Herodicus Sports Medicine Honor Society; Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society; American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons; American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons; and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (Program Chair 2010).

Jeffrey Guy, MD

Dr. Jeffrey Guy has quickly become a leader in sports medicine in the Southeastern United States. Dr. Guy is a widely sought after speaker regularly giving talks on the care and prevention of sports injuries to the community, athletes, trainers, and physicians. Dr. Guy is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Sports Medicine Institute Fellowship Society, and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine

Dr. Jeffrey Guy received his medical degree, magna cum laude, from Harvard University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts in 1994. Prior to a sports medicine fellowship at the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Alabama (2000-2001), he held two fellowships in Boston, Massachusetts, which included a trauma fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital (1999) and a pediatric sports medicine fellowship at Children’s Hospital (2000). In 2001, Dr. Guy became Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. Since then, Dr. Guy has been involved in all aspects of the University of South Carolina’s sports medicine program.

Dr. Guy’s sports medicine experience includes a long list of athletic coverage, including assistant team physician for Auburn University, the University of Alabama and the Washington Redskins. Dr. Guy is currently company physician for the Columbia City Ballet, and is the founder of the South Carolina SMART program (Sports Medicine for Athletes And Recreational Teams), which serves more than 25 high schools and middle schools in the greater Columbia area. Dr. Guy is currently team physician and orthopaedic surgeon for several high school and college teams, most notably the University of South Carolina Gamecocks. He currently serves as Medical Director for all of the University of South Carolina athletic programs.

James Dettling, MDJames Dettling, MD

James R. Dettling is a leader in the sports medicine community in Las Vegas, Nevada where he has been practicing for nearly 10 years. Dr. Dettling is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and a Fellow of the American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons, (FAAOS).

He belongs to the American College of Sports Medicine, the American Orthopedics Society of Sports Medicine and the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery & Orthopedic Sports Medicine. Dr. Dettling is a Certified Independent Medical Examiner and is a member of the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners.

Dr. Dettling has a special interest in Sports Medicine and has written and published numerous articles about sports related injuries, the shoulder and knee. Dr. Dettling is an assistant clinical professor in the department of surgery at the University of Nevada School of Medicine, and is an Editor for SoccerHealth.com. Dr. Dettling also speaks regularly in Las Vegas about the prevention and treatment of orthopedic injuries. His training in Sports Medicine includes Assistant Team Physician for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Galaxy, Los Angeles Kings, Los Angeles Sparks, Anaheim Mighty Ducks, Anaheim Angels, University of Southern California Athletics and Loyola Marymount University Basketball.

Currently, Dr. Dettling is orthopedic head team physician for the Las Vegas Wranglers Hockey team. Dr. Dettling is a ringside physician for the Nevada State Athletic Commission. He was team physician for the former Las Vegas Outlaws XFL professional football team. Dr. Dettling was head team physician for the Las Vegas 51’s (LA Dodgers triple A baseball team) and the Las Vegas Gladiator Arena Football Team. He is also team physician for numerous high school programs in the Las Vegas area, and orthopedic consult for the PGA/ Sr. PGA/ LPGA, the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), UNLV athletics, CCSN athletics, and the AVP Volleyball tournament

Tito DrakefordTito Drakeford

Tito Drakeford has enjoyed a 10 year career in healthcare, specializing in the efficient and skilled delivery of operating room techniques and procedures. For the last 8 years, Tito has been a leading surgical technician at Englewood Hospital Medical Center. In 2005, he also became a senior surgical technician at Hudson Crossing Surgery Center in Fort Lee, New Jersey.
